Joseph Gray (Richard)

Joseph is a highly trained & experienced actor based in the Southeast U.S., a region that has seen an explosion of diverse film & television productions recently. Joseph has had the privilege of being cast in TV shows like the CW's "The Originals", CBS' "The Inspectors", NBC's "Revolution" & LIFETIME's "Drop Dead Diva" and "Devious Maids", to name a few. In addition to his episodic bookings, he played Roy Hall in CMT's immensely popular mini-series "NASCAR: The Rise of American Speed", and he secured a small supporting role in the record-breaking made for TV film "Killing Kennedy" starring Rob Lowe. After a short break from filming, he spent a month in NY filming the lead role of Henry J. Heinz in a mini-series for THE HISTORY CHANNEL entitled "The Food that Built America", followed by 5 weeks in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountain region of Roanoke, Virginia reprising his role of Clint Masters in parts 2 & 3 of the independent feature film series "Princess Cut". Most recently, Joseph filmed the supporting role of Dan Waters in the thriller, "Where's Rose?", starring Ty Simpkins ("Iron Man 3"; "Jurassic World"; "Insidious"). And, now, Joseph is under contract for a principal role in a feature film that will be debuting on the HALLMARK CHANNEL in the coming year. In addition to the ever growing list of acting credits on his resume, Joseph continues to add credits as a Writer & Producer as well. With experience on-camera in episodic T.V., Feature-Length & Short Films, Regional & National Commercials - along with his experience as a Writer & Producer - Joseph has a well-developed skill set geared uniquely towards telling captivating stories on-screen.

"The underlying themes in this story are foundational to the human condition - specifically in our present American culture that has come to a point of hyper-sexualizing everything & has ascribed a (very skewed) value system to individuals based on age, gender, race, economic status, 'ability', etc... Although these issues are cleverly buried within the dynamics of the relationships you see on-screen, the script immediately caused me to reflect on my own 'desires' & how I respected the inherent value of the individual human life regardless of what society deems desirable. Although this film examines other aspects of our psyche, I suppose my primary hope is that the end product stirs reflection, questioning & re-evaluation of how the viewer sees people, values them & loves them, labels be damned."  - Joseph Gray
